Dear Glidecam,

As a director/cameraman for television commercials for the past fifteen years, I have always wanted to include a Steadicam in my camera package for every shoot. Whenever the creative calls for it, I can have the flexibility to film a sequence or a simple shot with fluid camera movement. However, it may get very expensive and sometimes impossible to book the right operator and gear for every single job.

The Glidecam is my perfect tool. The cost for owning and the simplicity of usage have given me and my clients much creative freedom. Since we only deal with 35mm motion picture photography, we are lucky that the Glidecam can handle an Arriflex 2C with ease. With added video assistance and a special wireless video transmitter, our Glidecam has done marvelous work. My camera assistant is also having fun learning to be a Glidecam operator.
